Diesel Mechanic / Engineer, all rounder

We have 30+ vehicles with John Deere Tractors, Mercedes trucks, Toyota forklifts and plant and equipment for harvesting, washing and packing potatoes and Silage / Balage .

Working alongside our current mechanic / operations manager who has been with us for 30 years to maintain and repair vehicles and equipment.

Would be an advantage if you have driven tractors or trucks previously but this can be trained.

• Formal qualifications are not required but previous experience is.
• Capable of diagnosing mechanical faults
• General maintenance & repairs on all our machinery.
• Welding experience is a bonus
• Tidy & organized work habits / houseproud

This is a physically demanding job, so need to be fit and able, and willing to learn.

Monday to Friday work - with the odd weekend call out

Hourly rate based on experience $30-$40 per hour - Time and a half if weekend work is required

Vehicle potentially available for the right candidate

Must have the right to work in NZ already.
