Health New Zealand is looking for a cook to join our Kaikoura Health Te Ha O TeOra kapa (team) to help feed our turoro (patients) and whanau (family).
Located on the beautiful Kaikoura coast, Kaikoura Health Te Ha O Te Ora offersa wide variety of services to the local community.
Our integrated FamilyHealth Centre offers a fantastic mix of general practice and rural hospitalmedicine with a wide range of services and this role is supporting thoseimportant services.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for :
Cookingfor rest home residents, acute turoro (patients) and meals on wheelsdelivery.
Keepingwork areas, equipment and utensils clean and well maintained
Ordering,Receiving, storing and rotating kitchen supplies
Regularlydeveloping and updating industry knowledge
You will be following recipes from a weekly menu and youwill be the main cook of the day.
Salary starting from $
Based on the E tuService and Food Workers collective agreement.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, reliable and punctual Cookwho can bring their passion for food to our facility.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering toour Food Control Plan, Health New Zealand code of conduct and Health and Safetyprocedures.
Full training will be provided to all new staff joining ourteam.
Skills and Experience
Passionfor cookery and a creative approach, adaptable when required
Theability to maintain speed without compromising standards, work well underpressure
Abilityto build solid relationships with others
Provenexperience in a similar role preferred but not essential
NZQAFood Handling Cert Unit
