We're looking for a Dispute Resolution Manager to lead our Tenancy Dispute Resolution team in Hamilton.
This is a pivotal role in MBIE's Tenancy Services, delivering high-quality dispute resolution under the Residential Tenancies Act and Unit Titles Act.
What you'll be doing :
Leading a team of dispute resolution coordinators, primarily based in Hamilton, and supporting a nationally consistent service.
Driving service delivery excellence through best practice case management.
Fostering a respectful, inclusive, and customer-focused team culture.
Championing continuous improvement and quality management to future-proof our services.
Contributing to strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement across the Tenancy Dispute Resolution service.
Ensuring our services meet the needs of Maori and Aotearoa's diverse communities.
Leading cross-team collaboration and strategic initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience managing service delivery functions in large, complex organisations.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
Strategic thinking and experience leading change or improvement programmes.
Cultural competence and a commitment to inclusive service delivery.
A genuine commitment to people leadership — creating an environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow, contribute, and thrive.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Understanding of public sector service delivery and alternative dispute resolution, or the ability to quickly develop this.
Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
