Job description

We're looking for an office manager who is passionate about people and creating a workspace where they will thrive.

We aim to create a safe and happy environment for Dataminers to work in, and a welcoming place that clients want to visit.

This role is pivotal in creating a positive and productive work environment.

We want to keep the office running like clockwork, so need you to bring a proactive approach that shows you care about the small details, but also the people who work for Datamine.

We collaborate closely with our clients to leverage insights and provide organisations with proven, repeatable success in this area.

Key responsibilities of the role are :

Act as a champion for people and culture

Improve the unique work environment to meet our evolving needs and brand image

Stock the office with groceries, stationary, office supplies

Plan and organise fabulous inhouse parties and events

Welcome clients and visitors to the office, ensuring a great Datamine experience

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the office is well maintained and functional

Keep the overall office environment tidy and organised, plants watered, snacks, replenished, and ensure it is a place we can be proud of

Coordinate meeting rhythms and meeting room bookings to avoid bookingconflicts

Book meetings, travel, accommodation, and calendar management for Dataminers as required

Ensure you're across everything happening in the office, visitors, high-profile workshops, etc.

Spot opportunities to improve process and work with the Process and Change Implementor

Work with departments like Accounts and HR to support office initiatives and requirements

Key competencies we are looking for :

Fun, social, empathetic, cares about People

Organised with excellent attention to detail

Planning and execution (a doer)

Proactive with communication happy to pick up the phone to a supplier to sort problems

Can follow a process and looks for opportunities to improve process

Can put a commercial lens on supplier interactions assess options and if we are getting value from services

Use of technology, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Ideal background / knowledge required for this role :

People focused, this role is about creating a workspace, not just about the building

Experience fulfilling this type of role, knows what a well-run office looks like

Available to be in the office 5 days per week

You have a history of improving things and make them better

You have a list, know where things are, and can prioritise

You look for ways to contribute and make things better
