Mobil Mangere is looking for a reliable and motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy service station in Mangere, Auckland. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and solid experience in retail or service station management.
Key Responsibilities
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the business, including :
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the service station and convenience store.
- Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
- Implement and monitor company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including security checks.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts.Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and support.Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, promotions, and updates.Ensure staff follow health and safety, food safety, and company policies.Customer Service & Sales
Maintain a high standard of customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally.Promote products and services to increase sales and meet store targets.Ensure merchandising, signage, and product displays are attractive and compliant with brand standards.Stock & Inventory Control
Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of stock, including fuel and grocery items.Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage, and manage stock rotation and expiry dates.Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate variances.Financial & Administrative Duties
Oversee daily cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, and banking procedures.Monitor sales, margins, and expenses to achieve agreed financial targets.Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. health & safety, employment, and fuel handling regulations).Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers.Identify and manage risks, hazards, and incidents, and maintain appropriate records.Ensure compliance with fuel handling, fire safety, and workplace health and safety standards.Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have :
At least 3 years of relevant experience in retail management, service station management, or a similar supervisory role; and / orA Level 5 qualification in business management or a related field.Strong leadership and people management skills.Good understanding of stock control, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required. Work hours will be a minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 45 hours per week.Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
