    About the Role

    We currently have a nursing casemanagement opportunity for a NZ Registered Nurse with mental health scope, toprovide assessment and treatment interventions for patients based in Ashburton.Our Community Mental Health Team covers a large geographical area, from Rakaiato the Rangitata River and across to the Southern Alps. You'll work within asmall rural multi-disciplinary team, primarily working alongside our team ofcase managers including Social Workers, Registered Nurses, OccupationalTherapists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists. Professional developmentthrough ongoing education is encouraged and supported.

    About you

    As a professional and highlyskilled registered nurse, who displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm forthis area of work, you will enjoy working in a committed and hardworkingmulti-disciplinary team. You will enjoy the challenges of working at the top ofyour scope of practice and be supported in achieving and maintaining this.

    In addition you :

    • Mustbe Registered with the Nursing Council of NewZealand with a current APC and mental health scope.
    • Must have experienceworking in mental health.
    • Be a registered DAO orprepared to train as one
    • Be prepared to join our on-callteam 1-2 shifts / week
    • Must hold a current full drivers'licence
    • Skills and Attributes

      A motivated self-starter, youmust enjoy the challenges of case management, including assessment, treatmentand building relationships with consumers and their families / whanau. Theability to work in an integrated manner with our inpatient team and to developsound working relationships with community resources and services is essential.Be part of an organisation that provides an open and friendly approach andfantastic opportunities for skills development. Experience in mental health,acute assessment skills and community experience preferred. Ability to workboth autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.
