Toast is expanding into new countries and markets, and we are seeking an Account Executive to serve as a founding member of our New Zealand team.
As a founding Account Executive, you will be an early member of a team transforming how restaurants operate locally, using a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new restaurateurs in your local area.
You will understand unique needs to develop customised solutions that help Auckland businesses thrive and help build the Toast brand in your geographic territory.
This role offers autonomy, the chance to navigate ambiguity, and the opportunity to create frameworks, processes, and initiatives that will define the region's growth for years to come.
This is a field sales opportunity.
Candidates must live locally to Auckland, NZ or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, initial call to close (experience with self-sourcing clients is a huge plus)
Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect's needs
Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market
Qualifications
2+ years experience in a sourcing or closing sales role, restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry
Founder mentality to work on 0-1 deals, and ability (and enjoyment) to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced and new environment
Since this is a field position, you must have reliable transportation (we will reimburse for mileage)
Strong communication, organisational and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels
Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment
Self-motivated, creative, and flexible
General technical proficiency with software
