About the Role

We are seeking a Land Drainage Engineer to join the Water Services Unit within our Utilities and Roading Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer with expertise in environmental and water engineering to join a progressive and customer-focused council.

You'll take ownership of the operation of our rural drainage and stockwater systems — overseeing maintenance contracts, managing service requests, ensuring compliance with consents, and responding to natural events.

You'll work closely with the public, Council teams, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes for both the community and the environment.

About You

You're an engineer with experience in drainage systems and a strong interest in environmental outcomes.

You're practical, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a collaborative approach to working with others.

You have excellent communication skills and enjoy building relationships within internal teams and external partners.

You care about waterway management and understand the importance of environmental and cultural values.

You're looking for a role where your work has a positive, lasting impact on your community.
