Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist

About the Role :

We're seeking an experienced Physiotherapist (or Occupational Therapist) to work within our community-based health team. This is an opportunity to assess, treat and support patients in the comfort of their own homes.

In this role you'll play an important role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to clients, helping with recovery from injuries, managing chronic conditions, and improving their overall physical wellbeing.

With a diverse client base, managing a range of cases of rehabilitation programmes, you'll play a vital role in rehabilitating clients while growing your expertise within a supportive, close-knit multidisciplinary team.

With access to a shared company vehicle, you'll work across the wider Northland community, working with patients, ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained, whilst being supported by an organisation that has been at the forefront of community health services for over 25 years.

Key Responsibilities :

• Providing home-based rehabilitation support to patients across Northland
• Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalised treatment plans
• Delivering a range of physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription and education to help clients achieve rehabilitation goals
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to client care
• Maintaining detailed records of client progress and outcomes

Skills and Experience :

• Must have NZ Physiotherapy or OT registration and current APC
• A solid understanding of acute care and working with ACC claims
• Full NZ Driver's license and access to reliable transport
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality, client-centred care
• Knowledge of the Northland region
