This role will work to safely and efficiently undertake the maintenance, repairs and servicing of all mining machinery and ancillary plant / equipment under control of the Underground operation.Key tasks and responsibilitiesMaintain high levels of housekeeping at all facilities, equipment and company vehiclesIdentify and report parts, materials and other resources required to complete allocated tasksRecord and report usage of all components, parts and other resources on work-order job cardsAttend and repair breakdowns of the mining fleet and ancillary plantContractor management / monitoring during shutdowns and major repairs (as directed)Perform routine maintenance and inspection of the mining fleet and ancillary plant (services / daily inspections / Underground servicing & repairs when required)Daily servicing (refuelling and lubrication) of mining and ancillary plant (as directed)QualificationsNational Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering – Plant and Equipment Level 4 or 5 or equivalent (preferred) or other relevant industry trade qualificationsFirst Aid, Forklift, Overhead Crane, rigging and slinging, Work at Height etc. to relevant NZ standards advantageous but not essential5 years minimum experience in repairs, maintenance and field service of heavy mining machineryFull, clean and current driver's licence; ability to drive manual vehicles is essentialAdditional InformationResidential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZCompetitive salaryDiscounts on retail and servicesFree Southern Cross Healthcare InsuranceLiving Our Values recognition programmeOnsite physiotherapist and nurses suiteFree transport to workStudy assistanceAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respectedApplications close 21 November
