Payroll Officer
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator ready for your next challenge?
We're looking for a motivated individual to join a busy payroll team in a full-time, permanent role based in Dunedin.
This position suits a self-starter ready to make a career-defining move and keep ahead of the game in payroll software, process, and new industry developments.
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate payroll processing for multiple entities with varying pay cycles.
Review work and provide training and support to payroll administrators and staff.
Manage new employee setup, onboarding, and payroll record updates.
Resolve payroll-related queries from internal and external customers.
Identify opportunities for payroll system improvements and process streamlining.
Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and payroll legislation.
You'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll function, liaise directly with business partners while supporting the Payroll Manager and Partnership Team.
Skills and Experience :
Proven experience in payroll coordination, following policy and procedures.
Knowledge of New Zealand employer legislation, including the Holidays Act.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise while applying accuracy and attention to detail.
