About the Role

Join the Land Development Team in our Project Delivery Unit and help deliver engineering services that support land development across the Waimakariri District.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to contribute to sustainable growth in a thriving district. You’ll be part of a progressive, customer-focused Council that values innovation and collaboration.

In this role, you will :

  • Provide engineering advice to the Planning Unit on resource consent applications
  • Review development designs and engineering plans
  • Undertake audit inspections of engineering works on-site to ensure compliance with resource consent conditions
  • Collaborate with developers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • About You

  • A relevant qualification in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering
  • At least five years’ experience in the engineering field
  • Strong technical knowledge in civil and environmental engineering practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A good team player, able to collaborate with other team members
