We're looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join the Identity Services Acceleration Programme (ISAP) within our Regulatory and Identity Services branch.

About the role

The Identity Services Acceleration Programme (ISAP) is a dedicated programme to enhance Identity Services' performance and efficiency.

ISAP will implement a coordinated programme of work to increase productivity and maintain service level standards during an expected surge in passport and citizenship volumes from

  • As a Portfolio Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in delivering complex and meaningful projects and initiatives within the ISAP programme.

    You'll bring structure, drive and strategic thinking to ensure projects are delivered successfully – on time, within scope, and to the highest standard.

    You will be responsible for :

  • Ensuring strategic alignment, governance, and delivery oversight across ISAP project workstreams and initiatives.
  • Maintaining and enhancing an integrated ISAP programme delivery plan and tracking progress against key milestones, KPIs, and outcomes.
  • Identifying, tracking and managing strategic risks that could impact the programme and escalate critical issues and facilitate resolution with the Programme Director and Steering Group.
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across DIA and with external partners
  • Supporting effective organisational change and ensuring the people side of change is well managed
  • Providing guidance and coaching to team members and contributing to continuous improvement in project practices
  • This is a leadership role that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on project delivery capability

    What we're looking for

  • Experience at a senior level in a variety of programme management assignments in government with a track record of delivering stakeholder facing projects on time, to specification and within budget.
  • Prior experience in delivering complex business transformation
  • Experience in managing a programme of business operational change
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing budgets, risks and vendors in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver results
