Join to apply for the Classroom Teacher role at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools .

Highly motivated teacher required to join our teaching team at St Joseph’s as a full-time classroom teacher commencing term 1, 2026. Salary will be based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi‑Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

Role description and criteria

It is essential that the successful applicant embraces inquiry‑based pedagogy that is personalised in a child‑centred learning environment, and possesses a sound knowledge of and ability to implement a contemporary pedagogy that is engaging and motivating.

The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to :

  • Use data to drive student learning and inform best practice.
  • Establish meaningful relationships with students whilst creating an inclusive, vibrant classroom.
  • Work collaboratively and enthusiastically with peers.

Skills and experience required

  • Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A commitment to Catholic education.
  • An ability to create an engaging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
  • An eagerness to learn.
  • An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support learning.

    • Student learning – special requirements

  • St Joseph's promotes the safety, well‑being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
  • The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
