About the Role
As the ACNM, you will collaborate closely with the Charge Nurse Manager (CNM) to drive organizational objectives and ensure that departmental standards consistently meet and exceed expectations.
Your role will involve providing clinical leadership on the floor to bring about practice improvements, coaching, and guidance to the nursing team, contributing to the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the department.
You will work alongside the Charge Nurse Manager, and be part of a dedicated team, fostering a culture of encouragement, support, and continuous development for our staff.
As the ACNM, you will have an eye for detail, an interest in patient bed flow and the improvement of care quality outcomes.
You will be working office hours on weekdays.
Key responsibilities of the role :
Mentor staff to ensure high standards of care.
Participate in clinical and KPI audits and other quality and risk mitigating initiatives including accreditations, certifications, and incident reporting.

About the Team / Service
Ward M5 is part of the six regional cancer centres in New Zealand providing comprehensive Haematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Palliative Care services to the Midland Region.
The 34-bed inpatient ward provides treatment and supportive cares to patients with a cancer diagnosis or blood disorders, requiring chemotherapy, autologous stem cell transplants, radiation, palliative care, and treatment for non-malignant haematological disorders.
