Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Tutors that are passionate about youth and sport to deliver our growing programme at our Tauranga campus. These fixed‑term full‑time positions are responsible for teaching young learners the L2 Certificate in Pathway Foundation Studies – Uniform Services and the L3 Certificate in Study and Career Preparation – Uniform Services . The opportunity here is to provide learners with an innovative, motivational, supportive and quality learning experience.

Classes are delivered on campus in the classroom and physical training, linked to the learning takes place outside.

Key to this role is to equip them with a range of learning and activities which will lead them to a career with the defence force.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified at level 4 or above
• Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience Youth.
• Passionate about developing and mentoring youth.
• Has confidence to develop engaging classroom activities.
• Wishes to take the first step into a career of being an academic.
• NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or willingness to work towards one or possess US 4098
• Previous experience tutoring L2 Foundation Studies in New Zealand at a tertiary level preferred.
• Passionate about fitness, physically fit as you will be executing drills
• Parking and access to campus cars when required.
• Mentoring and long‑term professional development plan.
