We are seeking a General or Clinical Scope Psychologist to join our team at the Massey University Psychology Clinic, based on the Manawatu Campus as a Senior Professional Clinician or Professional Clinician.
This full-time, permanent position (37.5hours per week, 1.0 FTE) involves working across a mixed model of external provider contracts and private clinic services.
We are open to considering part-time appointments, with a minimum of 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week).
Salary range
Senior Professional Clinician
level : $104,267 to $147,548, based on skills and experience
Professional Clinician
level : $83,201 to $106,185 based on skills and experience
Service areas :
Clinical and health psychology services for clients referred through various funding sources
Key responsibilities include the following :
Providing clinical and health psychology services within the Health and Cancer Psychology Service (HCPS) and the Private Psychology Service (PPS)
Contributing to the training and supervision of interns and practicum students
Engaging in community service development, including presentations, workshops, group interventions, and educational services
Meeting specified work targets across both PPS and HCPS services
Upholding a bicultural approach to psychological practice in alignment with Massey University's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Our clinic operates two main services :
Health and Cancer Psychology Service (HCPS) :
Works under contracts with Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) to support patients with lifelong or life-limiting health conditions.
Private Psychology Service (PPS) :
Provides clinical psychology services for self-funded clients and referrals from external organizations such asNZDF, THINK Hauora, and FENZ.
Additionally, as a training center for theSchool of Psychology, postgraduate students may observe and participate inassessments and therapy sessions.

Registered Psychologist under the Clinical or General Scope of Practice
Hold or be eligible to apply for a valid Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Psychologists Board
Demonstrated bicultural competency and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in clinical practice
Must comply with the Children's Act 2014 and the Children's (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015
