Practice Manager

Green Cross Health – Wanganui, North Island

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join our highly dedicated team at Aramoho Health Centre. You will be a key member of the leadership team, focused on the development of initiatives and the quality improvement of services provided to our 13,000+ patients and community that we support.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion for primary health care and has ideally worked in the health sector. People skills, operational leadership and change management will be important, as will financial planning, budgeting, and accounts management. You will be able to thrive in the challenging and often changing environment of primary healthcare, PHOs, funding, capitation, enrolments, and the wide range of reporting that GP practice requires. You will be skilled at fostering teamwork and will do what it takes to support your colleagues and deliver excellent service; you will work well with health and administration professionals; you will set up and maintain productive relationships with the Aramoho Health Centre Board, Green Cross Health Support Office and external stakeholders; you will bring positivity, energy, enthusiasm, and resilience to this varied and exciting role, enjoying leadership and creating a healthy culture while developing others.

Key Attributes

• Prior experience in Health Management is desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in operations and change management.
• Exceptional organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional, resilient, reliable, and self‑motivated.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Financial management or accounting skills.
• Ability to delegate and direct others in a positive and sensitive way.
• Working knowledge of Medtech Evolution is desirable but not essential.
