Job description

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team in Tauranga. The Class 5 Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and equipment freight to various locations. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum guarantee of 40 hours per week and a rate between $28 - $32.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Transport goods and equipment to and from various locations, including loading and unloading freight as needed
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of goods and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and pickups

Requirements :

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with containers and flat deck work is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of the transport industry
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • The ability to embrace new, industry-related IT technology within a modern fleet environment
  • DG licence, F and OSH forklift endorsement would be an advantage but training towards gaining these would be available to the right person
