This is a key role within our store, requiring a quick thinking and capable person to join our Seasonal team.
The sales assistant role will see you recommending products, solutions, and inspiration to our customers for a range of products from outdoor furniture, BBQs, camping, cooling, and heating equipment.
The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Retail manager, handling aspects of seasonal departments from customer service to handling all stock matters and one-off situations that arise on a day-to-day basis.
The person we seek to fulfil the function in the department must have the ability to remain cool under pressure and be able to think on their feet.
ResponsibilitiesHandle customer service and stock matters in seasonal departments; assist customers with product recommendations and solutions.Work closely with the Retail Manager in daily operations; handle day-to-day scenarios that arise on the shop floor.Stay cool under pressure and think on your feet to resolve issues.
Qualifications and SkillsEffective selling skills and commitment to excellent customer service.Detail-minded self-starter.Ability to multi-task and follow through with timely follow-up.Physically fit.Confidence to make decisions as required.A can-do attitude.Computer savvy.
You are on your feet for 8.5 hours a day, lifting, assembling and handling items such as outdoor furniture settings, so an element of physical fitness is required.
Experience in a similar role or in a retail environment will be beneficial.
Reporting to the Retail Manager, this is a full-time permanent role for 42.5 hours per week.
