Hauraki District Council is committed to keeping everyone safe and well at the end of the day. We're looking for a Fixed Term Health, Safety & Contractor Management Advisor to support a key project reviewing and improving contractor management processes across our sites.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

In This Fixed-term Project Role, You Will

• Review current contractor management processes and recommend improvements.
• Implement agreed changes to ensure legal and organisational compliance.
• Work closely with contractors on inductions, audits, training, and safe work practices.
• Carry out site inspections, safety walks, and monitor contractor compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and support incident reporting and investigations.
• Provide advice to managers and help embed improved processes into business-as-usual.
• Promote strong safety culture and uphold HDC's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
