Position Title : Delivery Driver

Employment Type : Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours per week)

Work Location : Based in Auckland (start and finish), with deliveries across Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo, Turangi, Tauranga, and Te Puke.

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting food products safely and efficiently using Class 2 trucks . The role involves handling frozen and chilled goods, adhering to all food-safety and transport regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries to various client locations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate a Class 2 truck in accordance with New Zealand road transport and safety legislation.

Load, secure, transport, and unload goods, including frozen and chilled products, maintaining appropriate temperature controls at all times.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues.

Plan and follow efficient delivery routes across Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo, Turangi, Tauranga, and Te Puke .

Ensure accurate completion of all delivery documentation (manifests, temperature logs, proof-of-delivery forms).

Maintain regular communication with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues.

Follow all company health and safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.

Keep the delivery vehicle clean, presentable, and in good working condition.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required

Valid Class 2 New Zealand Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record .

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics / transport role.

Good knowledge of routes within Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo, Turangi, Tauranga, and Te Puke .

Strong time-management and route-planning abilities.

Experience handling frozen and chilled goods , including knowledge of temperature requirements.

Must pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check and pre-employment drug test .

Reliable, punctual, and physically fit to perform loading and unloading tasks.

Ability to work independently and maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
