Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Develop, deliver and assess approved electrotechnology short courses
- Deliver training aligned to New Zealand Standards, Acts and Codes of Practice
- Create clear and engaging training materials, including manuals, presentations and practical activities
- Deliver classroom and on-site training for learners seeking Registration and industry professionals upskilling
- Support foundation and beginner learners through accessible, confidence-building training delivery
- Assess learner performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with trainers and subject matter experts to develop and review training and assessment materials
- Maintain accurate training records and reporting for audit and compliance purposes
- Contribute to additional tasks as required
Desired Skills and Experience
You will bring:
- NZ Trade Certificate or Level 4 Electrical Engineering qualification.
- NZ Electrical Registration and current Practising Licence (Inspector preferred).
- Unit Standard and , or willingness to obtain these with Skills Group.
- Proven industry experience in electrician work or electrotechnology and experience supervising, training or coaching people.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office tools.
