Nursing Education Lecturer – Manawatu

UCOL is seeking an exceptional registered nurse to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing education to the future nursing workforce of Aotearoa New Zealand.

The role is based in Palmerston North and offers a full-time, permanent position; part-time applicants will also be considered.

Key responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess evidence-based clinical teaching for the Bachelor of Nursing programme, including simulation, classroom and clinical settings.

Support akonga to demonstrate the Nursing Council of New Zealand Standards of Competence.

Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum and assessment strategies.

Participate in professional development and postgraduate studies, supported by UCOL.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand for at least three years.

Culturally competent; committed to working in a manner which upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Passion for sharing clinical knowledge and expertise.

Team player who can confidently take initiative and work independently.

Highly motivated, dynamic and engaging, with a desire to make a real difference to New Zealand's nursing workforce.

Ideally working towards, or have completed, a higher nursing qualification.
