The Role

Our Hawke's Bay team is growing, and we're looking for a property specialist to help deliver meaningful outcomes across the region and beyond.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced property specialist to join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, where your expertise in acquisitions will be valued and expanded.
This Role Will See You Involved In
Negotiating property acquisitions for major infrastructure projects under the Public Works Act, Land Act, Reserves Act, and Local Government Acts.
Providing strategic property advice and delivering tailored solutions to our clients and landowners.
Preparation of reports for clients and Crown agencies, including LINZ.
Conducting property due diligence, scoping & research, including property strategies and property cost estimations.
Leading stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
Management of property and multi-disciplinary projects.
Coordination and engagement with external parties and clients, including Crown agencies, councils, lawyers, valuers, surveyors and real estate agents.
Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve desired and favourable outcomes for all parties.
What You'll Bring
Tertiary qualification in property, law, or a related field or equivalent and relevant industry experience.
Ideally, you will have 5+ years' property experience relevant to the role.
Working knowledge and experience with the Public Works Act, Reserves Act, Treaty legislation, Land Act, and Local Government Act is hugely beneficial.
Comprehensive understanding and interpretation of complex and technical property legislation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities.
Effective time management and organisational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Project.
