Business economics teacher

Overview

Macleans College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced business and / or economics teacher to join our commerce Faculty from 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a certified teacher who has a strong grounding in commerce and / or economics, experience in teaching Y9–13 and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering a content-rich curriculum to motivated learners.

Applicants must be New Zealand registered teachers and either hold NZ citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a content-rich curriculum in business and / or economics to students in Years 7–13 (and wharekura where applicable).
• Contribute to the development of a strong commerce faculty program and participate in the wider school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high-performing, fast-paced learning environment.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as part of the school program.
