Senior HSE Specialist

Our Role

Graymont, a global leader in lime and limestone solutions, is seeking a passionate and driven Lead HSE Specialist based in Ōtorohanga and other New Zealand sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a site-based HSE leader to drive improved performance, implement Graymont’s health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Focus Areas The Role Will Include :

Lead and implement HSE initiatives for continuous improvement

Empower teams through training, auditing, and risk management

Serve as the site HSE expert for systems and process improvements

Manage incident reporting (ICAM) and corrective actions

Support injury management and return-to-work programs

Liaise with regulatory and community stakeholders

Ability to work autonomously and influence others to achieve positive HSE outcomes.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications :

National WHS and / or Environmental qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and safe practices

5+ years' proven experience in heavy industry, mining, or quarries

Proficiency in ICAM-led investigations; auditing and training qualifications / experience

Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making abilities; and excellent communication and influencing skills.
