Senior Financial Analyst (12-Month Fixed Term)

Due to parental leave cover we have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful, actionable insights. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Technology & Transformation leaders, the Divisional Head of Finance , and senior managers across the bank to improve business performance through sharp analysis, timely reporting, and confident storytelling with numbers.

• Own month‑end analysis : identify errors and required adjustments; liaise with Finance to ensure accurate processing.
• Build and evolve management information : develop analysis and insights that drive decision‑making across ASB.
• Produce accurate, timely monthly management reports and enhance them to illuminate key business drivers.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles and deliver business initiative reporting to meet local and Group requirements.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to meet evolving business needs.
• Support projects with forecasting, benefits tracking, guidance on capitalisation, and robust financial controls.
• Champion continuous process improvement with a focus on accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of data and reporting.
• Strengthen cross‑team collaboration and stakeholder engagement across a wide community of partners.
• Identify opportunities, risks, initiatives, and mitigations to lift profitability and productivity within Financial Services.
• Share knowledge and provide technical leadership, helping others grow and the team excel.
• Advanced analytical capability and comfort working with complex datasets.
• Strong Excel skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Proven stakeholder engagement experience and the confidence to “talk the language” of senior managers.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to groups and senior leadership.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, challenging environments with pace and pragmatism.
• Impact that matters : your insights will shape decisions across a critical part of our business.
