Science teacher

Overview

Kapiti College is seeking a science teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year. This is a full-time, permanent role. We are looking for someone capable of confidently teaching Science from Year 9 to Year 13. (state specialism in application)

Responsibilities

• Teach Science to Year 9–13 (Secondary / wharekura)
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of NCEA assessment requirements and support students' learning and wellbeing
• Contribute to a student-centred learning environment, helping students build knowledge, resilience, and confidence
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the success of the department
• Bring energy and expertise to the classroom and support colleagues
