This role is suitable for beginning teachers as well as experienced kaiako.

The role

We seek a warm, registered ECE teacher for our preschool classrooms.

You will design rich, intentional learning experiences with nature-based materials (including teacher-led provocations where appropriate), build trusting relationships with tamariki and whanau, and fully participate in our Farm School excursions.

Key responsibilities

Plan, assess and document learning in line with Te Whariki and our philosophy.

Create attachment-rich rituals that support regulation and belonging.

Demonstrate a love of intentional teaching that deepens inquiry and extends learning.

Curate open-ended, environmentally conscious provocations indoors and out.

Communicate clearly with whanau in fluent, natural English.

Engage in reflective practice and professional growth, especially in attachment-based pedagogy.

Uphold health & safety and child protection.

You will bring

NZ Teacher Registration + current Practising Certificate (ECE or Primary with ECE experience).

Fit and healthy; able to walk uneven terrain, lift children easily, and actively supervise outdoor play.

A growth mindset and openness to coaching / induction (Beginning Teachers welcome).

Eligibility to work in NZ - must be currently residing in NZ.

Great if you also have : love for outdoor play; experience with nature and attachment pedagogy; First Aid; full licence.
