New Zealand Market Sales Leader and Client Executive
Role overview and location : Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the New Zealand Market Sales Leader and Client Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional client service to our clients by understanding client issues and challenges, leveraging the firm’s capabilities to address these and driving new business opportunities to grow revenue and deepen client relationships. This role focuses on key accounts within the New Zealand market, is 80% client facing, and drives global accounts strategy, rigorous account planning and relationship development across the client organisation. The role also provides sales leadership across the NZ market and contributes to the overall market strategy and transformation goals of the firm.
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
- Sales leadership : Provide sales leadership for the NZ market supporting the NZ Country Managing Partner, the Service Line Leader and partners, including their teams. Collaborate with the NZ leadership team to develop market strategy and drive collaboration between New Zealand, Australia, and the global EY business.
- Account strategy : Drive account planning, revenue growth, sales and relationships on multiple Core accounts; initiate, build and sustain exceptional client relationships to the most senior levels of the organisation.
- Opportunity Management : Identify opportunities and client challenges; bring EY resources and insights to resolve challenges. Act as a strategic advisor on both long-term and short-term pipeline execution, revenue planning, deal review and negotiation strategies.

Market Knowledge – Deep understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges.Strong Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to clients, stakeholders, and EY team members.Relationship Building – Proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams, fostering trust and collaboration.Sales Acumen – Proven track record in business development and / or sales, with ability to identify opportunities and support the sales process, develop client value proposition and support accounts teams to drive revenue growth.Strategic Thinking – Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with our All in Strategy and market opportunities.Business Development Experience – Minimum of 10+ years in professional services or equivalent with a proven record of selling complex services at the C-level, preferably in professional services.Commercial Acumen – Ability to drive performance across the portfolio of accounts and solutions with a focus on commercial outcomes for clients.Ideally, you will also have additional skills and attributes, but we’re interested in aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
