Te āheinga : The Opportunity

As Legal Director Tāmaki, you will lead governance, legal, and enterprise risk functions. This pivotal role provides high-quality, commercially relevant legal advice and insights that influence decision-making at all levels, including Council and committee secretariat functions.

What you’ll do :

• Lead with impact : Drive legal, governance, and risk strategies that shape our organisation.
• Champion compliance : Act as Privacy and OIA Officer, ensuring robust frameworks.
• Enable transformation : Oversee policy, contracts, and internal audit to support change.
• Inspire a team : Provide values-based leadership to a high-performing legal function.
• Advocate for Te Tiriti : Embed principles into everything we do.

A strategic legal leader with the technical expertise and influence to operate at the highest levels. You will bring a deep understanding of law, governance, and risk management, underpinned by a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
