• About the Role
• This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care to adults and children in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 environment. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will work closely with Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, experienced Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Clerical Staff, and the wider medical team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.You will be supported by a comprehensive orientation and ongoing training opportunities, enabling you to grow and develop your emergency nursing skills. Working on a casual basis, you will step in to support the team as and when needed, making a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes.

• The Whakatāne Emergency Department is at the heart of emergency care for the Eastern Bay of Plenty community. The service operates around the clock, providing a dynamic and supportive environment where teamwork is essential. • About you
• The ideal candidate will be a skilled and adaptable nurse with a collaborative approach to care. You will bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to delivering superior patient care in a busy and rewarding environment.
• What you will bring :
• Current registration with NZNC and Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Experience in Emergency Department or acute care nursing.
• If new to ED, transferable skills with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Flexibility to work across a 24 / 7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive ‘can-do' attitude with a commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.
