Tihoi Venture School is our Y10 residential outdoor campus, located on the western side of Lake Taupo.

Students from our main campus visit Tihoi for a 12-week residential immersion programme that combines academic study, outdoor pursuits, and community living.We are seeking a dedicated and adventurous teacher to join the Tihoi team.

This full-time role involves teaching junior core subjects (English, mathematics, science, or social science).

Experience in outdoor education or a related field is highly desirable, and a NZOIA Level 1 qualification would be a distinct advantage.ResponsibilitiesTeach junior core subjects (English, mathematics, science, or social science) at Tihoi.Contribute to a range of outdoor rotations and outdoor education experiences (tramping, survival exercises, solo experiences, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, rock climbing, high and low ropes, caving, alpine activities, multi-day expeditions).

Act as an outdoor instructor and play an active role in shaping powerful learning experiences for students.Engage in onsite accommodation, pastoral care, and academic duties as part of the Tihoi programme.Support Kaupapa and contribute to growing young people into confident, capable contributors.QualificationsSecondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura teaching certification (Certificated teacher).
