Reporting to the Head of Retention, your day-to-day would look like :
- Supporting the delivery of coordinated initiatives that drive great customer outcomes and improve retention and renewal experiences.
- Working closely with the Head of Retention and Retention Manager to develop project plans, drive delivery, monitor project progress and report on performance.
- Proactively identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Provide recommendations and solutions.
- Analyze customer feedback / dissatisfaction to identify churn drivers and translate into actionable recommendations that improve customer retention and satisfaction.
- Partner with contact centre teams and digital leads to understand customer cancellation trends and pain points, ensuring feedback loops are closed.
- Gather insights and prepare documents, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
In your first 6-12 months, success will look like :
Project Planning & Delivery
Developed clear project plans for retention initiatives, with defined scope, objectives, and timelines.Successfully coordinated cross-functional efforts to deliver retention projects on time and within scope.Tracking & Reporting
Established and maintained accurate monthly tracking and reporting of retention initiatives across New Zealand and the Pacific.Monitored milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.Customer Communication & Experience
Lead enhancements to renewal customer communications to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment with retention strategy.Conduct post-implementation reviews and documented learnings to inform future improvements.Insights & Continuous Improvement
Analyzed customer feedback and churn drivers, translating insights into actionable recommendations that improved retention and satisfaction.Partnered with contact centre and digital teams to close feedback loops and address cancellation pain points.Identified trends, risks, and opportunities proactively, providing data-driven solutions.Stakeholder Engagement
Built strong relationships across Marketing, Product, Pricing, Delivery Squads, and Customer Service.Delivered clear, insightful reports and presentations to stakeholders, driving alignment on retention strategy.Culture & Mindset
Championed a customer-centric culture by contributing ideas for advocacy and loyalty.Demonstrated a growth mindset by embracing learning opportunities and trying new approaches.Compliance & Governance
Managed fulfilment of customer incentive prize draws with transparency and compliance.To thrive in this role, you'll need :
Experience owning and / or coordinating projects from planning through to delivery.1–2 years of experience, in a retention-focused role is preferred.Experience in financial services or insurance would be helpful, but is not essential.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Experience working in an agile or fast-paced environment is helpful but not essential.High numeracy literacy and attention to detail for reporting and analysis.Comfortable preparing documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously.Flexible and willing to complete a wide variety of tasks – including manual / repetitive tasks.We invest in you.
