Mo te turanga mahi | About the role

Our Upholding Treaty Settlements team is looking for two Kaitohutohu Matamua / Principal Advisors.

The team provides expert advice and assistance in relation to Treaty settlements and other Treaty-related agreements, for example Takutai Moana arrangements.

The team also ensures settlement and related arrangements are upheld through policy development and outcome.

Responsibilities of the role include :

We are also looking for an experienced Kaitohutohu Matamua to join our Treaty-based Relationships team who maintain relationships with post-settlement governance entitites, yet-to-settle groups and other groups with relevant Treaty-related agreements.

This role will have a focus on working with those groups on the policy implications for their arrangements, including how arrangements are upheld through policy development.

You will also be responsible for providing internal advice across the Ministry on these matters.

Salary range for this role is $142,185 to $172,853 pa.

Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
