National Health & Safety Business Partner

We’re looking for an experienced and influential National Health & Safety Business Partner to become Ideal Electrical Suppliers H&S champion across New Zealand. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an autonomous national role, leading our wellbeing and safety journey across 37 branches, our Support Office, and our Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the National HR Manager, you’ll set the direction for health, safety, and wellbeing, and actively shape a strong, engaged safety culture. You’ll coach and empower our people leaders, uplift capability, and ensure our safety systems continue to mature as the organisation grows. Most importantly, you’ll inspire buy-in at every level and keep our people safe—every day.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel as part of their core responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the ongoing development and delivery of our national H&S strategy
• Coach and mentor managers to lift and embed H&S practices and behavioural competence into daily operations and drive engagement across the business
• Provide expert guidance on legislative compliance, risk management and wellbeing
• Liaising with WorkSafe, ACC, and other regulatory bodies
• Champion continuous improvement and aiming for zero harm
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programmes to build capability
