Nurse Practitioner

Ostend Medical Centre, part of the Waiheke Health Trust, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team on the idyllic Waiheke Island, Auckland. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to our local community. This flexible role (24‑40 hours per week) offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary environment, delivering a wide range of primary care services to patients.

What you'll be doing

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments.
• Provide routine, equitable preventive care and health education to patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient‑centred care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
• Participate in quality and equity improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, and work as a member of the Clinical Governance leadership team.
• Participate in relevant ongoing professional development.
• Provide clinical leadership to the primary and community nursing teams of the Waiheke Health Trust.
