About the role

The Senior Product Lead sits within the Product Lead career path in Kiwibank.

We're looking for an experienced BA or Product Owner with a strong grasp of Agile and Scrum.

This is a hands-on role that blends Technical BA, Scrum Master, and Product Owner responsibilities.

You'll collaborate with the Product Manager and business stakeholders to form the near-term roadmap for the squad, and work with the Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, and User Experience Designer to shape experiences that enable Kiwibank staff to offer the best banking experience in Aotearoa.

Responsibilities

Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories

Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews

Manage dependencies and priorities to keep delivery on track

Think strategically while able to dive into detail when needed

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations

Inspire teams and challenge the status quo

Contribute to digital product development initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

Experience translating business needs into user stories

Strong facilitation and Agile / Scrum practices

Ability to manage dependencies and priorities

Strategic thinking with attention to detail

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Ability to motivate teams and drive continuous improvement

Experience in digital product development

Bonus

Familiarity with financial services or regulated environments

Experience conducting user research and product testing
