This fixed-term, part-time role is in our Y0–2 class, where cooperation, kindness, and a love of learning are at the heart of everything we do.While training in Structured Literacy is an advantage (though not compulsory), the most essential quality is a passion for supporting diverse learners through inclusive and engaging teaching practices.At St Leo's, everyone is involved – our dedicated staff, families, and parish work together to foster a nurturing environment where every child is known and valued.

We are looking for someone who : Reflects on their practice and collaborates effectively within a cohesive team.Values partnerships with whanau and promotes the importance of belonging.Incorporates values-based teaching and Te Reo me ona tikanga Maori into a rich and meaningful curriculum.Brings a great sense of humour, creativity, flexibility, and joy to teaching young learners.The successful applicant will be expected to uphold the special Catholic Character of our school.

A willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction are requirements for the position.Please note : This position is open to applicants who are New Zealand-registered teachers.

This teaching position could be up to 4 days per week in a job share situation, depending on the suitability of the applicant.
