Pukekohe Hill School is seeking a motivated and capable team leader to join our leadership team from the start of 2026. This is a permanent classroom-based position with 3 management units attached.

We are looking for a leader who is reflective, organised and able to lead from the middle. Someone who models best practice, supports collaboration, and helps others to grow. The ideal applicant will have strong curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and mathematics, and a commitment to relational, strengths-based pedagogy. Experience in engaging with Māori and Pasifika whānau, and a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear and supportive leadership for a team of Y3–4 teachers
• Be an effective communicator who builds trust and fosters teamwork
• Lead professional learning and contribute to whole-school development
• Model high-quality teaching and learning practices in your own classroom
• Value collaboration, consistency, and connection across the team
• Demonstrate empathy, initiative, and a sense of fun in your mahi
