Mo te Turanga | About the Role

We're seeking a proactive and hands-on Implementation Specialist to support the delivery of Southern Cross's Supply Chain Maturity project.

The Implementation Specialist role is an essential position within Southern Cross's Supply Chain Maturity project team.

This project is focused on delivering increased capability, streamlined processes, and supporting systems to local supply chain functions across Southern Cross hospitals.

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role (1.0 FTE).

The role involves regular travel to Southern Cross hospital sites across New Zealand, where you'll be assigned to support implementation for extended periods—typically 12 to 14 weeks per site.

During these assignments, you'll spend the working week on-site and return to your Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch base at the end of the week.

While the schedule may vary, this travel pattern will be a consistent part of the role.

You'll be responsible for supporting the implementation of new supply chain systems and practices, working closely with hospital teams to embed changes, provide training, and ensure a smooth transition.

The role involves hands-on inventory work, product labelling improvements, and ongoing collaboration with both local and project teams to drive operational excellence.

Supply chain experience (1+ years) :

Practical understanding of supply chain operations, including inventory management, procurement, and logistics

Project team experience :

Proven ability to work collaboratively within project teams, contributing to process improvement, system implementation, and change management initiatives.

Training or education exposure (desirable) :

Experience supporting or delivering training related to systems, processes, or onboarding, with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams.

Healthcare sector experience (desirable) :

Familiarity with clinical and non-clinical environments, with an understanding of hospital operations and the importance of timely product availability.

Willingness and ability to travel :

Comfortable with weekly travel across Southern Cross hospital sites nationwide, supporting local teams and project delivery on-site.
