Network Access Planning Manager
New Plymouth
Powerco is looking for a Network Access Planning Manager to join the senior leadership team in our Network Operations Centre in New Plymouth.
This role is about leading and supporting a team to deliver safe, efficient, and well-coordinated network access. You’ll work closely with other teams and external partners, helping things run smoothly, spotting opportunities to improve, and making sure your team has the support and guidance they need to thrive.
What you’ll do :
- Lead and develop a team of 14, creating a positive, safe, and high‑performing culture.
- Oversee planning and coordination of network access, making sure everything is delivered safely, on time, and to standard.
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Support your team through both day‑to‑day coordination and periods when the network ramps up, such as during storms or planned outages.
- Support your team to continuously improve processes and ways of working.
- Be a visible, approachable leader – coaching, mentoring, and supporting your people every day.
- Keep Health & Safety front of mind, making sure everyone knows their responsibilities.
What we’re looking for :
Proven experience leading and developing a team (electricity or network experience is helpful but not essential) with at least 5+ years of people leadership experience.Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with teams, partners, and stakeholders.Comfortable making decisions and balancing operational priorities with team leadership.Solid project management skills - able to plan, prioritise, and coordinate work across multiple projects.Proactive, practical, and ready to roll up your sleeves to solve problems.Eligible to work in New ZealandWhy you’ll love working here :
