About the Role
As aDesign Delivery Project Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure within the Te Waipounamu region. This role is responsible for leading the briefing and design of health facilities and the delivery of health facility projects, in conjunction with Delivery Project Managers.
You will provide expert health planning advice across a range of care services, from preventative to acute and rehabilitation, ensuring that clinical input is robustly integrated into design processes. You'll lead clinical engagement, manage change, and coordinate with a range of diverse stakeholders to ensure that facilities meet the needs of patients, staff, communities and the requirements of Health NZ.
This is a role that requires strategic thinking, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of clinical environments. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that infrastructure investments deliver equitable health outcomes and support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.

Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.

You bring a deep understanding of clinical processes and a passion for designing health infrastructure that delivers equitable outcomes and supports whānau centred care. You're confident engaging with diverse stakeholders, from clinical teams and architects to community representatives and you know how to translate clinical needs into functional, future ready spaces.
You're a project manager who understands the importance of cultural responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and driving projects forward with clarity and purpose.
