We're looking for an experienced Driver / Yard Assistant who wants to grow in a friendly environment.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To deliver and collect cars and commercial vehicles to and from customer sites, supporting SFS customer contracts.
This involves maintaining a high standard of professionalism, completing all appropriate paperwork and ensuring vehicles and the yard are clean and tidy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Driving Duties and Associated Paperwork
Deliver and collect cars and commercial vehicles to and from Customer sites in a safe manner.
Carry out mandatory vehicle checks before driving to comply with company policy and to ensure vehicles are legal and fit.
Perform condition checks on vehicles both before collection and following delivery, identifying damage and, where required, obtaining photographic evidence.
Record all work accurately in computer systems.
Complete defect rectification notes for faults found on vehicles.
Maintain a flexible working approach to delivery and collection to meet depot times.
Take vehicles for MOT tests when requested.
Collect parts as requested by the management team.
Health and Safety
Safeguard own and others' health and safety by operating safe working practices in line with method statements, risk assessments, and PPE use.
Promptly report and, where possible, address any hazards that arise.
Keep the working area and vehicles clean and tidy.
Hold a current HGV driving licence for all classifications of HGV's and notify the company of any changes including health-related conditions, penalty points or disqualification.
Carry out yard duties when required, including steam cleaning and valeting vehicles.
Perform minor defect repairs when necessary.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and core values with a professional approach to customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Protect and secure vehicles, buildings and property following company procedures.
Execute any other driving duties as required by other departments.
Yard duties
Carry out yard duties such as steam cleaning, valeting vehicles and maintaining a clean, tidy yard.
Perform minor defect repairs when required.
General duties
Adhere to company policies and procedures, upholding core values and focusing on customer care.
Protect and secure vehicles, buildings and property by following company procedures.
Carry out any other driving duties as and when required by other departments.
About You
HGV Class 2 licence and Driver Qualification Card, with fewer than 6 points on licence.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Customer-focused, positive and friendly.
Effective written and spoken communication.
Reliability, maturity and professionalism.
Previous experience washing commercial vehicles.
Working hours
Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week
