About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll oversee the commercial, finance, and risk functions across two trans-Tasman entities.
You'll lead a small but capable finance team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting, while providing strategic advice to support growth and long-term value creation.
This is a broad, impactful role that blends operational finance with commercial leadership - ideal for someone who enjoys influencing strategy while staying close to the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate and proactive financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across NZ and AU operations.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and Board.
Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering excellence and accountability.
Manage cashflow, treasury, and banking relationships, ensuring ongoing liquidity and compliance with covenant requirements.
Oversee tax, risk, insurance, and foreign exchange management.
Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reporting tools.
Support strategic decision-making with clear financial intelligence and commercial insight.
About You
We're looking for a motivated and commercially astute finance leader who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-focused environment.
You'll combine strong technical ability with business acumen and leadership capability.
Key skills and experience :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar (CA / CPA or MBA highly regarded).
Proven experience in financial management, ideally across NZ and Australia.
Strong systems experience (ERP optimisation, Dynamics 365, or similar).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset - calm under pressure and confident in decision-making.
