Duties & Responsibilities
- Checking in with the Projects Engineer for weekly and daily job schedules
- Providing daily updates (photos, calls, emails) on job progress and issues
- Ensuring crews work efficiently to meet timelines and budgets
- Making sure employees have the tools and equipment needed for quality output across one or more sites to ensure smooth operations
- Promoting and enforcing health and safety standards
- Following company procedures to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies
- Promoting care and correct use of tools and equipment
- Assisting with training new employees and updating competency records
- Giving clear directions to workers to avoid repetitive mistakes
- Ensuring company rules are followed by crew
- Making sure tools are returned from job sites
- Ensuring daily Toolbox and Emergency Plans are completed and understood before work begins
- Inducting visitors to site via health and safety paperwork
- Wearing and ensuring correct use of PPE for all workers
- Reporting non‑conforming activities to Management
- Documenting and reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Respecting and maintaining company vehicles, plant, tools, and property
- Attending weekly Monday meetings with Management and crews to review progress and feedback
- Completing daily timesheets with job details
Skills & Specifications
Expertise or strong knowledge of the relevant construction industryAbility to issue clear directions and instructions to workersStrong communication with both crew and managementAbility to lead while also being hands‑on and willing to get dirty when requiredMust hold a Class 1 licence; working toward Class 2 is advantageous; Class 4 even betterCurrent with experience are advantageousValid First Aid Certificate and other relevant industry qualificationsPhysically fit and healthyProactive attitude toward health and safety, ensuring your actions protect yourself and othersWhat’s On Offer
