What you will do

Deliver safe, quality care in accordance with standards and guidelines set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Develop and maintain high standards of midwifery practice

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, and deliver exceptional care in maternity and gynaecology specialities

Provide support to single registered midwives when needed, especially for patients with comorbidities requiring general nursing expertise

Engage effectively in communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care

Promote and support breastfeeding initiatives, aiming to optimise outcomes for families

Educate women and their families within your scope of practice

Work with accountability, seeking guidance when expanding beyond your level of expertise

Act as a role model, representing the principles of professional nursing and midwifery within the organisation
