About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for trainee cardiac sonographers to join Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern on a full-time, fixed-term basis until December 2027. This opportunity will see you based out of Dunedin Hospital with visits to Invercargill (and potentially other centres across Te Waipounamu).
Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs, and once you are registered with MRTB you will then undertake the PGD through University of Auckland. This course is distance-based learning. The expectation for this role is 36 hours a week hands on learning (scanning) and 4 hours study per week.

Salary range
This role belongs to the APEX / DHB Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($82,400 p.a.) and Step 2 ($87,500 p.a. pro-rata) of the Trainee Sonographer scale.
