PB4L-SW is part of the PB4L suite of evidence-based initiatives that can be implemented alone or in combination.
The role supports schools in Canterbury to develop systems and practices that foster safe and inclusive environments in a culturally responsive way.
School-Wide Practitioners work alongside schools supporting them to develop systems and practices that foster safe and inclusive environments in a culturally responsive way.
Responsibilities
Implement PB4L initiatives across whole schools to improve learner wellbeing and achievement.
Provide expertise and support to schools in developing positive behaviour systems.
Work with families, early childhood educators, schools and agencies to create positive learning environments.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in education, psychology, or a relevant discipline (e.g., learning support).
Knowledge of inclusive and ecological approaches, assessment and intervention frameworks.
Knowledge of child development, learning and behaviour.
Experience in classroom or other settings supporting students, including those with additional needs.
Ability and willingness to adhere to Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
Confidence in presenting and facilitating change through relationship building.
About you
Qualified and experienced specialist capable of working in Kura Kaupapa Maori and English medium environments.
Demonstrated strengths in Te Reo, tikanga Maori and matauranga Maori.
